Do Not Fear x 365

The words ‘Do not fear’ appear 365 times in the Bible. That is one ‘Do not fear’ for every day of the year. Whenever scripture repeats, you can be certain that God is trying to tell you something. During these days of the ongoing pandemic, storms and nations threatening other nations with invasion, it is so easy to be afraid and to worry. One of my heroes of the Christian faith is Corrie ten Boom. Corrie, along with her family was imprisoned in a concentration camp by the Nazis during WW2. Corrie was the only member of the family to survive. When the war ended and Corrie was released, she spent the rest of her life, nearly 70 years, traveling the world speaking about Christ’s forgiveness and love. Corrie new intimately the supernatural love of Jesus that frees us from fear and worry. Corrie said this: ‘Worrying is carrying tomorrow’s load with today’s strength - carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time.’ This Sunday our theme is 'How To Overcome Your Fear.’ Hopefully see you there!
