This Sunday is our ’Spring to Life’ gift day. It is a day to give thanks to God by giving a financial gift to the ministry and work of the Cedar Centre as we plan and pray for 2022.
Paul wrote these words to the Church: ‘Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.’ 2 Corinthians 9:6+7
Giving is like planting seeds. The farmer will reap far more what was sown. This applies to everything in life. What you give to the Lord he multiplies - your time, gifts, ambitions and money.
Giving should be fun and never forced or grudging, but rather voluntary and cheerful, ‘for God loves a cheerful giver.’ Generosity leads to happiness.
